The Canicular days (or named dog days, midsummer) have come in the Northern Hemisphere, China included also. The temperature stays above 35 degrees Celsius for a few days and will keep going by the end of August. People have no choice but to stay indoors enjoying the cooling air produced by the air conditioners, that use refrigerant ( like Freon) to cool off air in an enclosed room. However, as we all know, the cooling air from the ACs (air conditioners) is not fresh at all but cyclic. You will feel very dry in the noses and throats if you stay in the room for several hours, because the moisture is extracted from the air in the room by ACs when it is working. So, most people have to use humidifiers at the same time when they are using air conditioners. Besides, the ACs are only able to be applied for the enclosed space such as homes and offices.
